About Resilient Services
We help organisations prepare for disruption, respond with confidence and build stronger capability for whatever comes next.
Practical resilience expertise built for the real world
Resilient Services is an Australian risk, resilience and emergency management consultancy helping organisations prepare for disruption, respond effectively when it occurs and build stronger capability for the future.
Established in 2018 by Managing Director John Gawne, we work with organisations operating in complex, regulated and high-consequence environments where preparedness needs to extend well beyond having a plan on the shelf.
Our clients include critical infrastructure organisations, government agencies, regulators, ASX-listed businesses and organisations across energy, water, ports, construction, manufacturing and other essential sectors.
Through practical planning, training, exercises, reviews and advisory services, we help organisations turn resilience frameworks into capability their people can actually use.
Who We Are
Resilient Services brings together specialists with diverse professional backgrounds and experience across emergency management, resilience, risk, compliance, critical infrastructure and organisational operations.
Our team works collaboratively across projects, allowing clients to access the expertise required for each engagement rather than relying on a single consulting discipline.
Our Values
Our values aren't statements written for a wall. They shape how we work with our clients, how we treat each other and the kind of business we want Resilient Services to be.
PEOPLE COME FIRST
Some things are more important than work.
If one of our people, or somebody they care for, needs their attention, they're expected to leave work and be there.
No lengthy explanation. No guilt. No choosing between work and the people who matter.
We trust our team to do great work, and that trust extends to recognising when life needs to come first.
NO BULLDUST
Straightforward advice. No unnecessary complexity.
We all know what workplace bulldust looks like. We just don't do it.
That means being open, practical and straightforward with each other and our clients. We don't complicate things to make ourselves look clever, hide behind jargon or recommend work that doesn't add value.
If something needs to be said, we say it respectfully. If there's a simpler way to solve a problem, we'll recommend it.
WIN / WIN / WIN
Good outcomes should work for everyone.
We strive to create outcomes where our clients, our people and Resilient Services all benefit. We don't believe one should succeed at the expense of another.
A successful engagement delivers genuine value for the client, gives our people the opportunity to do meaningful work and contributes to a strong, sustainable business.
A Team That Can Scale With the Challenge
Different projects require different combinations of expertise.
A business continuity project may require detailed analysis of critical functions and dependencies. A crisis exercise may require scenario development, facilitation and executive engagement. A critical infrastructure engagement may involve regulatory requirements, operational risks, emergency management and assurance.
Rather than approaching every engagement through a single discipline, we bring together the right people from across our team.
This gives clients access to broader expertise while maintaining a consistent Resilient Services approach throughout the engagement.
More Than Consultants
We want clients to feel like we're part of their team while we're working together.
That means getting to know the organisation, understanding the pressures its people operate under and being available when our expertise is needed.
Many of our client relationships extend beyond an individual project because resilience isn't something organisations solve once.
Risks change. People change. Regulations evolve. Organisations grow.
We're here to help our clients adapt with them.
